Workshop 1 - Chasing the Devil's Music (with Jordan Tice) - January 2025

Rural Guitar presents, “Chasing the Devil’s Music: A Workshop for the Arranging Guitarist.” Join acoustic guitarist-composers Jordan Tice and Cameron Knowler for an intimate workshop series of four, two-hour discussions aimed at inspiring diverse approaches for arranging, composing and improvising creative acoustic music. During each session, the duo will move between practical discussions, playing and listening sessions, as well as Q & A time to cover much ground in a focused manner.

Each session will be accompanied by a curated playlist of tracks that demonstrate the concepts being discussed, while providing context for each players’ unique approach to the instrument. Meetings will occur on Zoom between 7-9 PM Central Time on four consecutive Wednesdays in January of 2025 (8, 15, 22, 29) and will be recorded for those who might not be able to join in realtime.
